My full given name is Margaret Kerr Campbell and I was born in Airthrey Castle in Bridge of Allan, Scotland so I’m just a bit Scottish however, I have an Essex accent! (Now that’s another story)
I just love everything Scottish especially Tartan.
I started doing patchwork throws when I was recuperating and for me, it was very therapeutic .
I’v always loved sewing and up-cycling, way before it became trendy! I love making things out of pieces that would otherwise be skipped. I sometimes buy old kilts and after they have been unpicked, washed and pressed I make larger items.
Now I buy my tartan off cuts from a kilt maker and make what ever I can with the shapes and sizes and colours of my lucky dip bag!
Christmas is just round the corner so I’m very busy putting together my latest collection which can be found at local craft fayres, and various retailers. I also take commissions if there’s an extra special something you’re looking for.
