Happy New Year!!
Happy New Year!!!
Yes I know, it’s a bit late but this is the first time I’ve come up for air!!
Most people do their thing as soon as they’re back to work in January. I genuinely don’t know how they do it. Do they have a team of bloggers or write theirs before they came off for the Christmas holidays!! Christmas holidays, that’s a distant memory but actually, what a great break.
I mean we really did take time out. I didn’t realise I needed it but I did. It was good to relax, spend some much needed quality time with the family, over indulge in the festivities, watch rubbish TV and catch up with friends. I really felt I’d switched off so when the 5th came round and I switched the laptop back on from it’s happy slumber, boy did it hit me and this is literally the first chance I’ve had to take a breather. Sound familiar? Don’t get me wrong, I’m enjoying every minute of our latest project. I made a conscious mind shift a good few years ago to look at every step I take as a new adventure, but I also believe in balance, work, life balance. I think that’s the thing right there, I’m enjoying every minute of this particular adventure so it doesn’t feel like work as such but I guess you still have to be careful to keep that balance and make sure you take breaks and holidays but as I say, this is the first time I’ve come up for air this year. Maybe you’ve had that moment, maybe it’s still to come? Hopefully it won’t be too long, maybe this might just give you a little friendly nudge to make you raise your head up from behind your laptop, phone, massage table, mixing bowl, bouncy castle, spinning wheel, pile of paper work and take 5, Like me, you probably hit the ground running and haven’t stopped since saying good bye to 2018 and hello 2019!! So, put the kettle on, put your feet up, pet the dog, cat, python (some people have pet snakes!?) take in that much needed sunshine and just breathe.
